Basel has planned an extensive programme of events to accompany the Eurovision Song Contest.
Basel is a cultural centre, a hub of innovation and a host city for numerous major events.
To support a safe, respectful, and well-organized experience for all participants and visitors during Eurovision 2025 in Basel, the following media access rules apply to the Host City Venues. These guidelines supplement the general Eurovision accreditation framework and align with the filming regulations of the Canton of Basel-Stadt.
Media professionals have been able to apply to the EBU for accreditation to access the media centre at St. Jakobshalle for the Eurovision Song Contest since 5 March 2025.

Arena plus will host Switzerland’s largest Eurovision public viewing event on 17 May 2025, including live acts and the Grand Final broadcast.
Media Access: Access is restricted. A total of 50 seats for accredited journalists and 15 photographer positions will be made available. These will be allocated by the Host City Basel to media professionals who already hold valid Eurovision 2025 Media Centre accreditation. A separate registration is required. Selection will prioritise journalistic reach, diversity of outlets, and editorial relevance.
The Eurovision Village is open to the public from 10 to 17 May and offers live shows, screenings, and fan experiences. General admission is open to all visitors. Filming and photography with personal mobile devices are permitted without special credentials.
A strict No-Bag Policy applies to all visitors. However, entrance with professional camera equipment (e.g., DSLRs, tripods, external microphones) is possible with valid Eurovision 2025 media accreditation or by registering in advance using the form. Media representatives with professional gear must enter via designated security checkpoints. In addition, media representatives can register for backstage tours and special media appointments. Respecting Privacy: The Village welcomes a broad audience including families and minors. Media representatives must respect personal rights and obtain consent before photographing or filming individuals who are not public figures. Violations may result in accreditation withdrawal.
The EuroClub is the official after-hours venue from 10 to 17 May.
Media Access: The EuroClub is a media-free zone. No filming, photography, or reporting is permitted. This venue is designed as a private and relaxed space for artists, delegations, and fans. Media accreditation does not grant access. Entry is only permitted with a purchased ticket.
The EuroCafé opens daily from 16:00 and is a casual meeting spot for fans and delegations.
Media Access: The same rules apply as for the Eurovision Village:

Eurovision Street (Steinenvorstadt) and the Eurovision Boulevard (spanning from Basel SBB to Badischer Bahnhof and along the Rhine promenade) are dynamic zones for installations, performances, and spontaneous gatherings.
