The Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) – the world’s biggest music competition – was held in Basel in 2025. The open-air stage on Barfüsserplatz was a stage of diversity: Every day, it hosted mainly local and regional acts – in keeping with the ‘Crossing Borders’ theme, there were also regional acts from neighbouring Germany and France. The programme included free live concerts, public screenings, food and drink stands and much more. ESC fans partied late into the night at the EuroClub every day from 10 to 17 May, starting at 11 p.m.
